October-December School Readiness Programs
Our School Readiness Program helps pre-kindergarten children build the skills they need to feel confident and ready, using engaging, play-based and structured activities in a supportive environment.
KEY PROGRAM GOALS
Social and Emotional Development
- Encourage cooperative play and teamwork
- Develop emotional regulation strategies
- Foster independence and confidence in social settings
Fine and Gross Motor Skill Development
- Improve fine motor skills through activities like cutting, drawing, and using tools
- Strengthen gross motor abilities with exercises that involve coordination, balance, and posture
Pre-Literacy & Pre-Numeracy Skills
- Introduce early literacy skills, such as letter recognition and phonological awareness
- Build foundational numeracy skills, including counting, number recognition, and understanding basic patterns
Self-Care and Independence
- Teach self-care skills like dressing, packing a school bag, and managing personal belongings
- Build foundational numeracy skills, including counting, number recognition, and understanding basic patterns
Language and Communication
- Promote language development through structured and unstructured conversations
- Encourage turn-taking and active listening in group discussions
